Gannawarra Shire Council is undertaking a Sealed Road Rehabilitation Program over the coming years throughout the shire with a section of 1km along the Kerang-Leitchville Road awarded for design to Heil Engineering Consultants.

It was identified that the existing sealed pavement has reached the end of its serviceable life exhibiting structural deterioration and surface defects. HEC designed an upgrade to this section of road to restore pavement integrity, improve quality & safety, and ensure compliance with current road design standards.

HEC co-ordinated Geotechnical investigations and completed a feature and level survey of the 1km scope of road and road reserve. Based on these outcomes a design was developed to meet Council needs & wants and to meet compliance. These designs went through a Prelimary Design Phase and moved to a Detailed/Issued For Construction Design Phase including machine data files and a bill of quantities.
